AGWSR junior Abby Veld went into her second trip to the Drake Relays with several goals, achieving several of them as she placed 10th in shot put with an improved throw of 38’-9.25” from last year, just missing out on the finals.
“I’m feeling good about my improvements from last year,” Veld said. “I’m bummed I didn’t make finals, but the nerves have gone down from last time. Hopefully I’ll be back here next season and do even better.”
