Local leader dies in grain bin accident

ELDORA – A grain bin accident in rural Eldora took the life of former Eldora mayor, Kennerly “Ken” Reece, 79, of Eldora on Oct. 7. “I don’t know exactly what the situation was,” said Hardin County Sheriff Dave McDaniel. “But an interior door of the bin wasn’t secured properly in place. When the exterior door was opened, it allowed grain to spill out. A worker on scene said the bin was full.”
