HARDIN COUNTY – County board of supervisor chair Lance Granzow says he thinks the pure aesthetics of a wind turbine outside the kitchen window is probably the biggest single factor behind opposition.
He says that on the other side, support is about the economic gains, money to often-strapped counties, cities, schools and windfalls to land owners.
But Granzow says he is trying to be neutral, and the public hearing and a couple of subsequent follow-up readings of the proposed ordinance, might prove that the opinions are more complex.
