A Celebration of Life starts at 11:00 a.m. with lunch following at the Church. Casual dress is recommended; Chance loved his jeans, cowboy boots, Dudes, flannel, and military apparel. With honor, Adams Celebration of Life is serving the family.
Born on April 5, 2001, Chance was a bright light in the lives of those who knew him - deeply sensitive, curious, and full of quiet strength.
Chance grew up in the close-knit town of Steamboat Rock, where he formed lifelong memories with friends and family. He had a natural creativity, a quick wit, and a love for the outdoors. Those closest to him remember his ability to make others laugh, his thoughtful nature, a smile that could ease even the worst of days and never met a stranger.
He is survived by his loving mother, Kari (Ryan) Rolph; his father, Brett (Heather) Tamminga; his cherished siblings: Legend, Ivy, and Lucas; grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, best friend Alec Stahl, and friends whose lives were touched by his presence. He is preceded in death by, Cindy Springer (aka grumpy grandma), Grandma Maggie Monroe, Grandpa Gary McClure, and multiple great grandparents. Chance’s loss is felt deeply, and his memory will be held with love and reverence.
Chance’s life, though brief, is a reminder of the promise of eternal peace and God’s unwavering love. In moments of quiet reflection, his gentle spirit reflected the grace and compassion that are gifts from above. Though our hearts ache with his absence, we trust in the hope of heaven and find comfort in knowing that Chance is now held in the arms of the Lord, free from pain and surrounded by divine light. His soul lives on, and through God’s mercy, we pray for healing, peace, and the strength to carry forward his memory with love.
Chance’s story is a reminder of the importance of compassion, connection, and mental health awareness. His family encourages others to honor his memory by reaching out to loved ones, practicing kindness, and seeking help whenever it’s needed.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to organizations supporting mental health and suicide prevention.
Chance is dearly missed and forever remembered.
