ELDORA – After a 35-year stint at Dodger Industries, Jan Piper was out of a job and looking for something to do. She spotted a job opening for paraeducator at the South Hardin High School and decided to apply.
“I started out at half time and went to three-quarter time,” Piper said, noting that a paraeducator assists special needs students. “I’d go to class, take notes and help them maneuver through the high school.”
