Dwight Randall Heikens

Dwight Randall Heikens passed away Sunday, March 1, 2026, due to complications associated with chronic kidney disease.

Dwight was born May 2, 1961 in Grundy Center, to Marvin and Jean Heikens. Dwight was the second of three children between older brother Darold and his younger sister Dawn.

He attended Eldora Elementary School until 4th grade when the family moved to a farm south of Wellsburg. He never had a great love for school but graduated high school in 1979.

Dwight married Angela “Angie” Cobb June 17, 2005 and immediately became a stepdad to her two sons Nate and Keon.

Dwight always had a love for anything with an engine whether it was a motorcycle, car, truck or tractor. He developed that interest into a career driving long haul reefers and shorter haul grain, gravel and hazardous material routes once the road got too long. His real love was drag racing both motorcycles and vintage dragsters.

He is survived by his wife Angie, of Eldora; mother Jean Heikens, of Wellsburg; brother Darold Heikens, of Yuba City, California; sister Dawn Ringena, of Steamboat Rock, and stepsons Nate Huffman, of Cedar Falls, and Keon Huffman, of New Hartford, along with his nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his father Marvin Heikens.
