Vickie Newby

Vickie Newby, 69, passed away on January 28th,, 2021, in Bradenton, Florida. There will be a funeral service held this summer in Eldora at the Eastlawn Cemetery.

Vickie was born May 31, 1951 to Dagan and Edna Krull of Wellsburg. She grew up in Wellsburg and graduated from Wellsburg High School in 1969.

After high school Vickie married Richard Newby on September 28, 1974 at St Peters Church in rural Wellsburg. The couple had 1 daughter, Christa.

Vickie worked at United Suppliers until 2001. The family then moved to Bradenton, Florida where she worked for the Manatee County Permitting Department for several years until she retired in 2017. During her free time, Vickie enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and volunteering at a local Methodist Church.

Vickie’s survivors include her Daughter, Christa (Charles) Rogalla of Bradenton, FL, brother, Rick (Teresa) Krull of Ackley, IA, brothers-in-law Roy (Sharon) Newby of Plainfield, IN and Larry (Mary) Newby of Louisville, KY, and sister-in-law Sharon Newby of Louisville, KY.

Her husband, Richard Newby and her parents preceded her in death.
