Sharon L. Rasmussen, 76, of Marshalltown, Iowa, passed away on the evening of Aug. 15, 2020, at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames, Iowa, with her family at her side. A memorial service for Sharon will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 21, 2020, at Trinity Lutheran Church of Dillon. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 20, 2020, at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home. Memorials may be directed to Iowa River Hospice, Trinity Lutheran Church of Dillon or the K9 Sensus Foundation at 54254 150th Ave. in Lucas, Iowa. Sharon Lee Conrad was born March 30, 1944, to parents Harold and Phyllis (Batesole) Conrad in Marshalltown, Iowa. She attended school at Union-Whitten Community School and graduated in the class of 1963. After graduation, Sharon worked at the Hunter café, Fisher Governor Co. and the Marshalltown Community School District.

On July 1, 1966, Sharon married Carl Rasmussen at Trinity Lutheran Church of Dillon in Dillon, Iowa. In her free time, she liked to be outside in the garden and helping Carl with the hogs they raised. She enjoyed cooking, reading, traveling, taking walks and sewing.

Left to remember and cherish her memory are her husband Carl; her children, Valerie (Derek) Brewer of Boone, Iowa and Brock Rasmussen of Marshalltown, Iowa; two granddaughters, Keilah and Linnéa Brewer; two sisters, Denise (Drew) Lewis and Jana (Clark) Crane.

She was preceded in death by her parents Harold and Phyllis; her paternal and maternal grandparents; and her brother Craig Conrad.
