On Sept. 25, 1953, she was united in marriage to Merrill Erwin Wiechmann at the old EUB Church in Hubbard. To this union, four children were born and raised on the Wiechmann family farm west of Hubbard. She taught her children to love God first, and to stand up for what is right. She debated topics with passion and her advice could be trusted.

In 1974, she successfully owned and operated the Manna House Restaurant in Hubbard and later opened the White House in Radcliffe.

In 1983, she and Merrill built a life near Rolla, Mo. area, where she guided tours to the Jefferson City. Mo. capitol building, made many quilts, served on city council in Vienna, Mo., drove dealer trades, obtained her realtor’s license, and loved making memories with the grandchildren when they stayed for mini Missouri vacations. They moved back to Iowa, closer to family in 2002.

Those surviving are her four children Crystal (Phil) Garrison of Centerville, Iowa, Corwin (Dena) Wiechmann of Hubbard, Iowa, Suzanne (Mike) Grothe of Madrid, Iowa and Tamra (Ted) Kjormoe-Vosburg of Ackley, Iowa; 23 grandchildren and 42 great-grandchildren; brother Dick (Cheryl) Eller; along with many other relatives and friends.
