Tigers end eighth at state XC

FORT DODGE- A third middle-of-the-pack placing in three seasons was registered by the South Hardin boys at the Iowa High School State Cross Country Meet here Saturday.

The Tigers ended eighth in the Class 2A 15-team field, scoring 200 points. South Hardin finished seventh last fall and eighth two years ago.

South Hardin, fourth-ranked in the latest state poll, had higher expectations this time around on the Lakeside Golf Course inside Kennedy Park.
