CONRAD- Best in the West.

The South Hardin boys’ basketball team was crowned the North Iowa Cedar League West Conference champions here Friday, beating BCLUW, 51-39 in the league finale.

The Tigers registered a 10-2 record to win the conference by two-games over runners-up Gladbrook-Reinbeck and Grundy Center at 8-4. South Hardin started the league race with five wins, dropped back-to-back games at mid-season and ended with another five victories.

“I’m so proud of the boys. We have been working since spring, not just November, but all summer with workouts. And it all came down to this and we showed what we are made of. Winning conference has been a goal and I’m very proud of the boys and coaching staff to accomplish that goal,” said South Hardin coach Nathan Gevelinger.
