Tigers again improve in win column

ELDORA- From one win two years ago to three last season and five this fall, the South Hardin football team continues to climb the ladder.

The Tigers posted a winning record for the first time in 12-years under third-year head coach Nick Eller.

South Hardin had a strong start to the season with wins in four of the first five Fridays. The Tigers finished 1-3 over the final month with all three losses to state playoff qualifiers.

“It was great to get that winning record,” said Eller. “The team and especially these seniors have worked hard to get to this point. We continue to raise the bar and expectations, now it is the playoffs.”

The Tigers kicked-off the season splitting border war games, beating South Hamilton, 19-14 and losing to Iowa Falls-Alden, 35-6. South Hardin then booked back-to-back shutout wins over Hampton-Dumont-CAL, 35-0 and Eagle Grove, 67-0.
