Taking a step: The moment that changed countless lives

Lloyd spent the next few months in the hospital and in physical therapy. The doctors told him he would never walk again. His life and his identity was forever bound to a wheelchair.

The hope began to fade as Lloyd started on a downhill spiral of depression. Each day reminded him that both of his parents were already gone to cancer and to him, his own future looked like it would go nowhere.
