New SCBA units at New Providence

NEW PROVIDENCE – They sent out a thanks to everyone in the community and surrounding area, and to the Hardin County Community Endowment Foundation, thanks from the New Providence Fire Department. Everyone involved made possible the recent purchase of a new Self Contained Breathing Apparatus. 

This update became the unit’s number one priority a year and a half ago when they discovered their old SCBAs were out of date and deemed unsafe for use with the fire department. These pieces of equipment are some of the most vitally needed for any fire department to operate safely. Firemen needed help to raise the money for this $60,000 project.
