Grassley, Sweeney talk funnel week, GOP priorities at local town halls

GRUNDY COUNTY- Throughout their legislative careers, State Representative Pat Grassley (R-New Hartford) and State Senator Annette Sweeney (R-Alden) have made the rounds to visit the communities they represent during each session, and last Friday morning, they hit each of the five largest towns in Grundy County on their town hall tour. 

In Grundy Center, Conrad and Wellsburg, the open conversations ran the gamut from friendly to contentious and covered issues as wide-ranging as Medicaid reimbursement for rural healthcare providers, abortion rights, child care costs and small town revitalization.
