Fire takes Eldora home

Fire took the home of David and Jackie Winters of Eldora early Saturday morning. Fire department personnel from Eldora were called to the scene about 3 a.m. and on the scene for about four hours. The house was engulfed at the time they were summoned however. No one was at home at the time. Authorities are saying it appears a tree fell in high winds Saturday morning and struck a power line which apparently started the fire.
