Council slows manager search as it considers redrawing the nature of the job

ELDORA – The Eldora city council would like as much as a month or more to mull over exactly what it wants in terms of city management. 

The community has been looking for a replacement for city administrator Dave Mitchell who resigned from the post three months ago. Now word is that the personnel committee of the council wants to look a little deeper into just how much of a full-fledged city manager the town needs. There are less imposing job titles, that carry different rates of compensation, but city hall says the news should not be viewed as an inclination one way or another about a change in the job description.
