Cougars struggle to finish innings

 

REINBECK- The third out was a nemesis for the AGWSR baseball team here Thursday.

Don Bosco claimed a one-sided 15-1 victory over the Cougars during a Class 1A, District 5 semi-final contest, and 14 of the runs hit home plate with two outs in the book.

The district’s top-seeded Dons exploded early, sending 14 batters to the box in the first inning and scoring 10 runs – nine with two outs.

Don Bosco, with a lofty .335 team batting average, stroked nine of their 17 base knocks in the first and were quickly in control of the contest.
