City buys large industrial building

County poised to make an offer  – with the asking price recently halved, and with a corporate merger pushing the sale timetable – the Eldora city council set aside uncertainties and seized a chance to buy the United Suppliers Tri-Rinse building.
    If the transaction goes through the city will own one of the larger buildings in town and the site will almost certainly  figure in future decisions about where to locate emergency services like the fire department and ambulance.(Read the rest in Friday's Index)
