BCLUW regional winner

   CONRAD- Seniors Bailey Ashton and Easton Swanson carried the BCLUW softball team to a 9-1 victory over Central Decatur here Wednesday during a Class 1A Region 4 quarterfinal contest.

   Ashton dominated the Cardinal batters as the southpaw fired a two-hitter and struck out a career-high 17 against one base-on-balls.

   Swanson banged out three of the fifth-ranked Comets’ 11 base hits, including a two-run home run as the hosts scored three runs in the first inning.
